Система, включающая обмен такими активами, как деньги, иностранная валюта, ценные бумаги или другие финансовые инструменты, с целью прекращения расчетных обязательств. Эти системы могут использовать одну или несколько систем перевода денежных средств для исполнения возникающих платежных обязательств. Связи между обменом активами и платежной системой(ами) могут быть неавтоматизированными или автоматизированными. См. также система на условиях поставки против платежа.
